La Vie Cherie is French for “the cherished life” or “the darling life,” and the name means a lot to Mal and Val. The concept was birthed during a time that Mal was recovering from West Nile Virus and Val had just lost her daughter to adrenal cancer. Mal, age 21, and Val, age 51, found common ground in wanting to cherish every moment of this wonderful life that can seem so short.
